The actress defended her choice and insisted she deserves respect despite online criticism.
Popular actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has replied to a social media user who mocked her for serving food in nylon bags.
The drama started after she posted a video on Snapchat showing how she entertained some of her crew members at home.
A user with the handle Harlarbeeade criticized her choice of packaging, writing:
“Aunty Funke you are not posh at all. Why yellow and black nylon?”
Not holding back, Funke clapped back with a short response. She said:
“Aunty Funke, you are not posh, because I put food inside yellow nylon, ah? …maybe I need to go and get plastic bags from Macy’s or Nordstrom. Elenu shipoti, I am not posh, you can buy nylon for me. Me, I have already blocked you, I not bothered. It’s a privilege for you to be seeing my snap. You have already seen your name, I will not cancel your name, I will show it. Go and blow because you’ve seen somebody this rude.”
She added that even if she is not old enough to be the user’s mother, she still deserves respect as an elderly person.
“Ah, even if I’m not old enough to be your mummy, at least you can see I am an elderly person…Wide mouth.”
