He vowed to “fix the broken” and restore hope across Osun State.
Former Osun State Deputy Governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has officially announced his plan to contest the 2026 governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Omisore made the announcement on Saturday through his official X handle, confirming that his formal declaration will take place on October 7 at the APC secretariat in Osogbo, the state capital. He revealed that the event, themed “Fix the Broken, Restore Our Dreams,” will mark the start of what he called the “Osun Rescue Mission 2026.”
Calling on APC members and citizens to join him, Omisore said his decision followed deep reflection and extensive consultations across the state. He added that his goal is to rebuild the state and give its people renewed hope.
“This is not just my mission, it is a collective one,” Omisore said. “Together, we can restore hope, strengthen governance, and deliver a brighter future for every son and daughter of Osun.”
With his declaration, Omisore joins the growing list of aspirants preparing for the 2026 Osun governorship race.
