Sokoto Extends Recruitment Application Deadline to October 12
The Sokoto State Government has extended its recruitment deadline to October 12, 2025, to allow more indigenes to apply.
Officials urged applicants to use only the official portal for submissions.
The Sokoto State Government has extended the deadline for its ongoing recruitment exercise to allow more qualified indigenes to participate in the process.

The state’s Recruitment Committee announced on Monday that the application portal, initially scheduled to close on October 6, will now remain open until October 12, 2025.
According to the committee, the extension is to ensure that no eligible applicant is left out of the exercise. In a statement signed by the committee’s secretary, Gandi Umar Muhammad, the government said, “This is to enable more qualified Sokoto State indigenes to apply.”
The committee also reminded applicants to submit their applications only through the official recruitment portal, https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng, warning that any submission made outside the approved site would not be accepted.
“The committee wishes to inform Sokoto State indigenes who are yet to apply to do so through the official portal. We will not entertain applications submitted elsewhere,” the statement added.
The recruitment process, which began on September 22, 2025, aims to create employment opportunities for qualified graduates and professionals in the state. Applicants are required to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, fill in their biodata, and upload necessary documents such as academic certificates, birth certificates, proof of indigene, and their National Identification Number (NIN).
The committee further advised applicants to ensure a stable internet connection while completing their online registration and cautioned them against paying anyone for assistance, reiterating that the recruitment process is entirely free.
The extension has been welcomed by residents, especially recent graduates, who see it as an opportunity to participate in the government’s employment initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment and strengthening the state’s workforce.
