According to information from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the team, led by head coach Bankole Olowookere, will camp in Casablanca before the competition begins. During the camp, they are expected to play two international friendly matches, against New Zealand on October 10 and Paraguay on October 14, to fine-tune their tactics and assess the squad’s readiness.

After the friendlies, the team will move to Rabat on October 15, where all participating countries will be accommodated in the official FIFA hotel.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group D alongside Canada, France, and Samoa. The Flamingos will begin their campaign against Canada on Sunday, October 19, at the Football Academy Mohammed VI (Pitch 2) in Sale, followed by a match against France on October 22 at Pitch 1 of the same facility. Their final group game will be against Samoa on October 25, scheduled for 5 p.m. Nigerian time at Pitch 3 of the academy.

The Nigerian girls head into the tournament in impressive form. They have played ten warm-up matches, scoring 44 goals and keeping clean sheets in all of them. The coaching crew says the team’s balance, confidence, and discipline give them belief that they can surpass their quarter-final finish at the last edition in the Dominican Republic.

Olowookere’s side will be looking to make history in Morocco as they aim to bring home Nigeria’s first FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup trophy.
