American pop superstar Taylor Swift has assured her fans that marriage will not make her quit music.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Radio 2, the Life of a Showgirl singer addressed rumors suggesting she might stop making music after her recent engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.
Swift dismissed the speculation, explaining that marriage should not be seen as a reason to give up one’s career. She added that her fiancé fully supports her passion for music and creativity.
She said, “It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job. Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but it’s like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who began dating in the summer of 2023, got engaged in August 2025.
