VeryDarkMan is facing backlash after being accused of hurting Igbo traders’ businesses in China.
A businessman alleged his videos exposed trade secrets vital to their survival abroad.
Controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has been accused of trying to destroy the businesses of Igbo traders in China following his recent visit to the Asian country.

In a viral video, an Igbo man identified as Tochukwu Harrison Mmaduboallor criticized the influencer over his trip, claiming that his videos showing Chinese factories and suppliers were exposing long-guarded trade secrets used by many Igbo businessmen to survive abroad.
He explained that the success of many Nigerian traders in China relies heavily on maintaining confidentiality, stressing that VDM’s actions could make it harder for them to compete.
“VeryDarkMan, why are you trying so hard to damage the Igbo man’s business in China, all in the name that you’re trying to help Nigerians? Don’t you know that business is all about secret?”
“What are you doing, gentleman? What is your problem? Business wey Igbo men dey do for China for years na him you dey scatter their business. What is your problem? We, the Igbos, we don’t give a fvck about Nigerian Government,” Tochukwu said in the video.
Tochukwu also noted that several Igbo entrepreneurs in China endure tough conditions and make huge sacrifices to sustain their businesses and support their families back home. He explained that most of them do not rely on the Nigerian Government.
