In a recent interview, the award-winning cinematographer explained that she often had to endure long queues and received shady calls from male filmmakers inviting her to questionable locations.

“I wanted to be an actress but the humiliation was too much. Long queues, shady ‘come to this location’ calls. I said ‘No.’ That’s when I chose to be my own boss,” she said.

Director Pink said she decided to focus on directing, a field that allows her to express creativity while maintaining control over her work environment.

She admitted that being a music video director also comes with its own challenges but added that she is willing to make sacrifices to succeed.

Pink advised aspiring music video directors to be patient and consistent, stressing that it takes years of hard work to reach the top of the industry.
