Detectives said four members of the gang were traced through mobile phones stolen during the attack, leading to the arrest of others through coordinated intelligence operations. Some accomplices are still at large, suggesting that the gang consists of more than the 12 already in custody.
The suspects were reportedly intercepted by operatives while on their way to carry out another robbery operation in the Maitama area of Abuja.
