Tochukwu Harrison Mmaduboallor released a video earlier claiming that VeryDarkMan’s recent visit to Chinese factories and suppliers was exposing trade secrets many Igbo businessmen depend on for survival. Tochukwu argued that the influencer’s videos could make things harder for Nigerians already struggling to maintain their businesses in China.

“Business is all about secrecy,” Tochukwu said in a viral clip. “Real businessmen don’t introduce their suppliers to their customers.”

In his reaction, VeryDarkMan explained that his visit to China was not aimed at hurting anyone’s business but to inspire Nigerians to explore new trade opportunities and connect directly with manufacturers. He said his intention was to move his influence beyond social media and promote transparency in business.

“Very selfish, it just made me see, do Nigerians really want Nigeria to grow? Because this is the same mentality wey never let us get light,” he said. “I am just opening eyes for people to do business. I don’t have plans to spoil anybody’s business; the sky is too big for everybody to fly. I am just putting it out there. Not everybody will do business, some will still be buying.”

Expanding further, he clarified that his trip was not driven by tribal motives and that his videos were meant to educate, not expose. He also warned Nigerians to be cautious and verify suppliers before making any purchases.

“Bro please, make una no carry me go tribalism oo, abeg. Like I said, I just dey throw everything out there. Now it is out there, the Chinese people are posting my pictures to get more customers. But that being said, the fact say I dey post no mean say make una just rush go buy before una go enter hands of scammers. You can enquire before you send money or send your brother make e go help you check, you no need to pass through me. But if you want to pass through me, no problem, when I come to Nigeria you go come my office,” he said.

VeryDarkMan added that Nigerians must move away from divisive mindsets and embrace cooperation if the country wants to grow economically.
