Tinubu to Attend 2025 Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit
President Bola Tinubu will attend the 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit in Abuja this November.
The event aims to boost diaspora-driven investments across key sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
President Bola Tinubu will attend the eighth edition of the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) as the Special Guest of Honor.
The summit, organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), is scheduled for November 11 to 13, 2025, in Abuja. It serves as an annual platform that connects Nigerians abroad with investment opportunities at home across key sectors of the economy.
During a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said preparations were in full swing to make this year’s edition more impactful. She explained that since the first summit in 2018, the NDIS has continued to expand its reach and influence, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and diaspora investors to explore areas such as real estate, healthcare, agriculture, ICT, energy, and the creative industry.
According to her, the 2024 edition attracted over 1,500 participants both physically and virtually. Among them were 236 investors, 1,197 business owners, and 168 government representatives. The event also featured 56 investment pitches across eight major sectors of the economy, resulting in about 168 business deals worth ₦673 million.
“This shows how much growth and confidence the summit has built over the years,” Dabiri-Erewa said. “We are proud of the results so far and are determined to build on them.”
She confirmed that President Tinubu would once again grace this year’s summit, which will focus on the theme, “Fast-Tracking Regional and National Development by Mobilizing Diaspora Investment.” The event is expected to attract leading entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators from across the world.
Dabiri-Erewa further noted that the summit has had a positive effect on Nigeria’s economy beyond direct investments. She revealed that over ₦500 million has been injected into the local economy through services procured from small and medium enterprises and creative professionals during past summits.
“This year, we will continue to spotlight priority sectors such as finance and fintech, ICT, sports, entertainment, agribusiness, healthcare, education, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy,” she added.
