Enugu, Abia Governors Strengthen Ties, Pledge Joint Efforts for Regional Development
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah met with Abia State Governor Alex Otti on Saturday to strengthen cooperation and boost regional development.
Both leaders discussed joint initiatives to promote good governance, economic growth, and shared prosperity for their states.
Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State on Saturday hosted the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, for a meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and driving development between the two neighboring states.

The engagement, held in Enugu, centered on ways to expand regional cooperation and accelerate economic growth through joint initiatives.
In a message posted on his official X account, Governor Mbah described the meeting as productive, explaining that it allowed both leaders to exchange perspectives on governance and reaffirm their mutual dedication to improving the lives of their citizens.
He said he was pleased to welcome Governor Otti to Enugu, noting that their discussion underscored the importance of partnership and shared progress.
“I was pleased to host my brother, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, here in Enugu. Our conversation was engaging and constructive as we shared ideas, compared experiences, and strengthened our resolve to advance good governance and sustainable development for our people,” Mbah stated.
He also expressed gratitude for Otti’s visit, describing the relationship between both states as a growing alliance for mutual advancement.
According to him, Enugu and Abia are united in their vision of building “a future of inclusive and lasting prosperity for our people.”
