Gov Otti Tells Election Riggers in Abia to Write Their Wills
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has warned politicians against plotting to rig the 2027 governorship election.
He said anyone caught falsifying results should be ready to face serious consequences.
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has issued a stern warning to individuals planning to manipulate the 2027 governorship election results, cautioning that anyone attempting to falsify votes should be ready to face dire consequences.

Speaking during his monthly media briefing at the Government House in Umuahia, the governor revealed that intelligence reports indicate some political actors are already holding meetings to plan how to seize power through illegal means.
Otti said he had received information suggesting that certain political figures were boasting about “writing results” to influence the next election. He cautioned them to reconsider their plans, adding that anyone involved in such acts should prepare their will beforehand.
According to him, “Those who think they can take over the state by fabricating election results are deceiving themselves. This is our state, and no one can intimidate us.”
The governor maintained that he is unfazed by such political threats and reaffirmed his commitment to protecting democracy in Abia.
He also cautioned politicians against engaging in premature campaigns, stressing that doing so contravenes electoral laws.
Otti urged political stakeholders to wait for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to release the official campaign timetable before commencing political activities, warning that early campaigns could lead to disqualification under the law.
