NSCDC Neutralizes Two Suspected Kidnappers, Arrests Two Others in Nasarawa
NSCDC operatives in Nasarawa have killed two suspected kidnappers during a gun battle in Lafia.
Two others were arrested, while one escaped as officers recovered weapons and charms.
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State have killed two suspected kidnappers following a gun battle in Lafia Local Government Area.

The encounter took place around 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
According to a statement released on Thursday, October 16, by the command’s spokesperson, DSC Jerry Victor, two other suspects were arrested during the operation, while one escaped and is currently being pursued by security operatives.
Victor revealed that items recovered from the scene included an AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with 40 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, five mobile phones, two knives, and charms believed to belong to the gang.
He added that the operation demonstrated the command’s firm commitment to ridding the state of kidnappers and other violent criminals under the leadership of Commandant Brah Samson Umoru.
The spokesperson urged residents to remain alert and cooperate with security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious activities in their communities to enable swift response and sustain peace across the state.
