Charly Boy Slams Reno Omokri Over Comments Dismissing Christian Genocide Claims
Charly Boy has slammed Reno Omokri for denying reports of genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
The activist accused him of hypocrisy and political opportunism in a fiery Facebook post.
Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has berated social commentator Reno Omokri over his recent remarks dismissing claims of genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

The controversy began after Omokri stated that the reports of widespread killings of Christians by Islamic extremists were false, arguing that Nigeria’s insecurity affects people of all faiths. His statement, however, resurfaced alongside an old tweet in which he had accused former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration of allowing genocide against Christians, a contradiction that drew public attention.
Reacting via his Facebook page, Charly Boy accused Omokri of hypocrisy and political opportunism, alleging that he was using national issues to seek favour from President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Writing in Pidgin English, the activist said:
“When I see how far some people fit go just to wear fake respectability on top rotten character, na so their shame dey shame me. You wan use people’s suffering buy political appointment? One minute you dey cry genocide, next minute you dey deny am because your stomach don move to another camp.”
He further criticized Omokri’s perceived inconsistency and questioned his integrity, adding that “education no equal integrity” and that “big grammar no fit cover small mind.”
Charly Boy concluded by declaring that he would not stay silent on such matters, saying, “Silence na how fake men become role models.”
