The hip-hop star shared the terrifying story in a viral video, explaining that the surgery took place around the time he released his hit single Declan Rice. What was meant to be a simple 30-minute procedure to remove his tonsils reportedly turned into a five-hour emergency operation.

According to Odumodublvck, complications arose during the procedure, forcing the doctor to seek help for the first time in his 12-year career. Fortunately, another specialist who was usually an hour away happened to be just two minutes from the hospital at the time and arrived quickly to save the situation.

“That’s so crazy because I thought I was going to die. When I dropped Declan Rice, that’s when I did the surgery. The operation that was supposed to take 20 or 30 minutes took five hours,” he recalled.

The rapper said the experience left him emotionally shaken, revealing that he feared for his life and even told his 71-year-old mother that he might not survive.

“After the surgery, I told my mum I wasn’t going to make it. I really thought that was the end for me,” he said.

Odumodublvck added that the near-death experience changed his perspective on life, making him more grateful and spiritually grounded.
