Media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has showered praises on reality TV star Tacha Akide, applauding her drive, ambition, and ability to reinvent herself.
Speaking to journalists at the Beauty Festival in Lagos, where she came to support Tacha, Makinwa said the reality star’s growth and determination mirror her own journey in the entertainment and business world.
“There’s one thing about Tacha, she is always reinventing herself, always looking for ways to push the brand envelope. It reminds me so much of myself; we are both never satisfied with doing just one thing,” Makinwa said.
She added that Tacha’s boldness in branching into different ventures including her recent attempt to break a Guinness World Record, deserves recognition and support.
Makinwa also spoke about the booming beauty industry in Nigeria, emphasizing its huge potential beyond entertainment.
“The beauty industry is often grouped under entertainment, but it’s a billion-dollar sector on its own. Nigeria is leading in Africa, and others are watching us. I have two beauty brands myself, so it’s exciting to see how far we’ve come,” she said.
