Rapper Blaqbonez says he prefers an open marriage, arguing it fits his views on love and freedom.
He explained that emotional connection matters more to him than sexual exclusivity in relationships.
Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has revealed that he would prefer to have an open marriage, saying it aligns better with his views on love, loyalty, and sexual freedom.
Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, the artist explained that many marriages lose their initial spark over time because partners are not open to exploring intimacy with others. According to him, sexual exclusivity should not define the strength of a marriage.
“I don’t mind having an open marriage,” Blaqbonez said. “Most married couples don’t keep having the same amount of sex they had at the beginning it reduces. If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m out working or touring, that’s fine. There’s more to marriage than sex.”
The rapper added that he values emotional connection and loyalty over sexual exclusivity, stating that he believes no one else could match the bond he builds with his partner. “Nobody is just going to get her sexually and mentally addicted to them like I do,” he said.
Blaqbonez concluded that if he ever marries, he would prefer separate rooms for himself and his wife, emphasizing that they would meet only when they want to share intimate moments.
