Comedian Shank Comics Calls Out Car Dealer After Paying ₦123 Million for Faulty Benz
Comedian Shank Comics has accused a car dealer of selling him a faulty ₦123 million Mercedes-Benz.
He claimed the vehicle developed issues immediately and demanded a full refund after months of delay.
Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Shank Comics, whose real name is Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, has publicly called out a car dealer after allegedly being sold a faulty Mercedes-Benz worth ₦123 million.

In a heated post shared via Snapchat, the content creator revealed that despite paying the full amount, the car developed problems immediately after it arrived in Lagos, and he has yet to drive it even once.
According to Shank, he noticed issues with the vehicle as soon as he attempted to drive it home. When he complained to the dealer, identified only as Abana, he was told the fault was a minor “fan issue” caused by the car’s time in port. However, after further inspection, it was discovered that the car had a damaged brain box (ECU), a costly problem that rendered the vehicle unusable.
Narrating his ordeal, Shank wrote:
“I didn’t DRIVE THE CAR ONCE! After it got to Lagos, I noticed the issue as I won drive am go house. Immediately, I got down. I complained, Abana said na small issue. Say na fan issue. Say it don tey for port. I say okay, fix it. Bring it back. He say, ‘Won’t you even take your car home?’ I say, I’m not on pressure. Fix the fan and bring it back.”
He continued:
“One week after, we found out this car had brain box issue, ECU. Okay! Oya we agreed refund. ₦123M. It’s been almost 3 months. You’re telling me sh*t! This what I been tryna avoid. This one na online, offline sef dey. Tf?! You’re now tagging someone else to answer me. BURST MY HEAD!”
The comedian expressed frustration over the dealer’s refusal to process a refund and vowed to personally travel to Abuja to resolve the matter.
“I no even drive the car! You come dey tag person say make he refund me. You’re a beard. Need my money now. I’m coming to ABJ,” he added.
Shank’s outburst has since gone viral, with fans expressing shock and sympathy over his experience while urging the dealer to issue a refund. The comedian had unveiled the new Benz earlier this year, celebrating the purchase as one of his biggest milestones.
