Actress Habibat Jinad Recounts Rift with Lateef Adedimeji, Says He Blocked Her for Four Years

Habibat Jinad has revealed that Lateef Adedimeji blocked her on social media for four years.

The actress said their friendship changed after he declined to feature in her movie project.

Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has opened up about her strained relationship with fellow actor Lateef Adedimeji, revealing that he blocked her on social media for four years.

In a reflective post shared on her Instagram page, Jinad revisited their early days in the movie industry and described how their professional connection unexpectedly turned cold.

She recalled inviting Adedimeji to feature in one of her film projects, but his response left her disappointed.

“There was a time I wanted to shoot a movie and asked Lateef Adedimeji to be part of it. He told me straight that he only wants to act in movies with fortunate people. I was hurt at first, but I chose to move forward,” she wrote.

The actress said she later discovered that Adedimeji had blocked her for four years and only unblocked her in January 2025.

“I tried reaching out to him again, only to discover I had been blocked for about four years. He finally unblocked me in January 2025,” she added.

Jinad, however, clarified that her revelation was not intended to create controversy but to shed light on how fame and success can alter relationships in the entertainment industry.
