Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, has sworn in three new commissioners and eight permanent secretaries to strengthen his administration’s performance and improve service delivery across the state.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held on Thursday, Governor Radda urged the new appointees to see their positions as a call to serve rather than personal rewards. He reminded them that leadership requires honesty, accountability, and dedication to the people of Katsina.
The new commissioners are Yusuf Jibia, Aisha Malumfashi, and Sirajo Abukur. Those appointed as permanent secretaries include Yusuf Ahmed and Aminu Ibrahim, both from Katsina Local Government Area; Aishatu Abdullahi from Dutsinma; Dasuki Ibrahim Abubakar from Malumfashi; Lawal Abashe from Matazu; Ado Yahaya from Sabuwa; Sani Rabi’u Jibia from Jibia; and Nasiru Ladan from Kaita.
Governor Radda explained that the appointments came at a time when his government is reviewing its performance after two and a half years in office. According to him, the exercise aims to reposition the civil service for greater efficiency and responsiveness to the needs of citizens.
He described the occasion as a renewal of his administration’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and effective public service. “It is time to reassess what we have achieved and make necessary adjustments to strengthen the system,” the governor said.
