Tragedy in Lokoja: Federal University Lecturer Crushed to De@th by Truck
Tragedy struck in Lokoja as a Federal University lecturer, Dr. Kemi Emmanuel, was crushed by a trailer.
She reportedly fell off a motorcycle after being hit by a truck that fled the scene.
A female lecturer at the Department of Theatre Arts, Federal University Lokoja, Dr. Kemi Emmanuel, tragically d!ed on Wednesday, October 22, after a trailer crushed her along the Crusher-Felele stretch of the Lokoja-Abuja highway.

Eyewitnesses said the accident happened when Emmanuel fell off a commercial motorcycle after being brushed by a moving truck, which then ran over her before fleeing the scene.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Kogi State, Tenimu Etuku, confirmed the incident, explaining that it occurred around 3:30 p.m. He said officers of the rescue team rushed the victim to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, where doctors confirmed she was de@d. Her body was later deposited in the hospital morgue.
Etuku expressed disappointment over the conduct of the motorcyclist, who reportedly fled while claiming to be chasing the truck that caused the crash. He urged motorcycle operators to exercise caution and avoid competing with larger vehicles on highways, stressing that such recklessness often leads to preventable loss of lives.
