Niniola has debunked rumors of a secret marriage, saying she is not married and has nothing to hide.
The singer also said her collaboration with sister Teni will happen at the right time.
Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has dismissed rumors claiming she secretly tied the knot, saying the reports are entirely false.
The speculation began after she took a brief break from the spotlight, fueling discussions that she had gotten married in private. However, in a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Niniola made it clear that she is not married and has no reason to hide her relationship status.
“I don’t care whatever anyone does or says regarding my personal life. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married,” she stated.
The 38-year-old singer also addressed why she has yet to collaborate with her younger sister, popular singer Teni. Niniola explained that their joint project will happen at the right time, stressing that music is business and should not be mixed with family emotions.
“There’s no family in business,” she said, noting that both of them are focused on their individual artistic journeys for now.
Her statement puts an end to weeks of speculation surrounding her personal life and professional decisions.
