Following her abduction, heartbreaking videos circulated across social media showing Aisha pleading for help. In the clips, she begged her family, friends, and Nigerians to intervene and raise the ransom demanded by her captors. The kidnappers insisted on receiving ₦20 million and threatened to take her life if the money wasn’t paid before Friday, October 24.

Social media users reacted with fear and pleaded for urgent intervention to ensure she survives. One of the people consistently speaking up and sharing updates about her case was Isreal DMW, logistics manager to Nigerian singer Davido.

On Friday, Isreal confirmed that Aisha had been released, noting that the ₦20 million ransom requested by the abductors was eventually paid. He expressed relief over the development and thanked everyone who contributed to securing her safety.

Aisha’s return has been welcomed with joy, though her ordeal highlights the disturbing rise in kidnapping incidents across Nigeria and the emotional and financial trauma victims and their families are forced to endure.
