Gombe Internal Security Commissioner Loses Life in Fatal Auto Accident
Gombe Governor Inuwa Yahaya has announced the death of the state’s security commissioner with sadness.
He says the brave official strengthened peace in Gombe and leaves a painful gap in the state.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has confirmed the death of the Gombe State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, through a statement released by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Ismaila Uba-Misilli.

Yahaya expressed deep sorrow over the commissioner’s passing, describing the moment as painful for both the government and people of the state. He said the late official was a respected security professional who served with loyalty and integrity.
According to the governor, the deceased applied his military background and leadership skills toward strengthening peace and stability in Gombe, noting that his contributions helped the state maintain its reputation as one of the most secure in the region.
Yahaya further praised him as a figure known for firmness, bravery, and genuine commitment to public duty, adding that he approached every assignment with seriousness and patriotism.
He stated that his death leaves a significant void in the state’s security architecture and is a huge loss to his family, the Gombe community, and Nigeria.
