FFK Says Governor Uba Sani Was Chosen to Restore Justice in Kaduna

Femi Fani Kayode says Uba Sani’s leadership marks a divine turnaround for Kaduna Christians.

He believes the administration will heal past religious tensions and ensure equal treatment.

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has said Governor Uba Sani’s emergence as the leader of Kaduna State was a divine move intended to correct years of religious tension and marginalization.

Fani-Kayode spoke on Saturday at the 35th anniversary synod of the Diocese of Kafanchan, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), where he reflected on past violence and discrimination targeted at Christians in the state.

He recounted a period when the nation’s top security positions were reportedly dominated by northern Muslim figures, alleging that believers in Christ faced exclusion particularly in Kaduna. He said one of the darkest moments was on December 25, 2016, when deadly attacks claimed the lives of Christian residents across four local government areas in Southern Kaduna.

According to him, traditional leaders who identified as Christians were also targeted, while many of their communities were subjected to dehumanizing treatment.

Fani-Kayode said the agony of Southern Kaduna drew widespread grief from Christians across Nigeria, expressing hope that the current administration would foster healing, unity and equal treatment for all citizens regardless of their religious beliefs.
