Zlatan Ibile Says Fatherhood Made Him More Responsible and Financially Disciplined
Zlatan Ibile says becoming a father changed his lifestyle and pushed him toward maturity.
He explains raising a child made him control spending and plan for long term stability.
Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has shared how becoming a father significantly transformed his life and priorities.

Speaking on a recent episode of the ‘Is This A Safe Space?’ podcast, the Zanku hitmaker revealed that he welcomed his son at the age of 25 a milestone that pushed him to rethink his lifestyle and make better decisions for the future.
Zlatan admitted that the responsibility of raising a child initially felt overwhelming, especially since he was living in London at the time and had to take on major financial obligations, including paying rent abroad.
“The birth of my son changed me. It made me realize life was getting more serious. I wasn’t prepared. I started paying house rent in London at 25,” he said. “I was scared I might not be able to keep up with the bills because some people were saying I might not be relevant in the music industry for more than three years.”
He explained that fatherhood forced him to adopt better financial habits:
“I became more serious with managing my finances. Limited spending and started saving for diapers.”
Zlatan also reflected on his past mistakes and behaviors, noting that having a child helped him grow out of certain habits and embrace maturity.
