Lagos Authorities Rescue Woman Who Tried to Report the Sun at Police Station
A woman in Lagos was rescued after trying to report the sun at a police station.
Authorities say she is now receiving medical support at a rehabilitation centre.
A woman in Lagos has been taken to safety after she arrived at a police station in an Uber, asking to file a complaint against the sun.

The Ministry of Youth and Social Development said a report was sent to them about a well-dressed woman in distress who had travelled from Lekki to Panti Police Station. When she arrived, she insisted on making a formal complaint about the sun.
Officials said the woman appeared mentally unstable and needed urgent help. The Ministry’s Rescue Team went to the station and took her to a state-owned rehabilitation centre, where she is now receiving medical and psychological care.

Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, praised the quick action. He said the report came through Instagram and the team responded immediately.
He added that the woman is being supported to “get the care she needs” and recover in a safe environment.
