Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao could be on track for another showdown in the boxing ring. Reports from Inside The Ring say discussions are ongoing for a possible rematch in 2026. The proposed bout is being looked at as part of a future Netflix boxing event.
Both fighters last met in May 2015 in Las Vegas in what many called the “Fight of the Century.” The match involved unified world welterweight titles and ended with Mayweather winning by unanimous decision. Fans around the world have continued to debate the outcome, which has helped keep interest in a second meeting alive.
Mayweather’s most recent appearance in the ring was in August 2024 during an exhibition match against John Gotti III. His last official professional fight happened in 2017 when he defeated Conor McGregor. He has since been active mainly in exhibition events.
Pacquiao stepped away from boxing for almost four years before returning in July 2025. His comeback fight against Mario Barrios ended in a majority decision. Pacquiao has hinted in recent interviews that he is still motivated to compete at a high level.
