Olamide Says He is Not Desperate for International Fame
Olamide says he is not rushing for international fame or changing his music style.
He insists staying true to his identity keeps him connected to loyal fans at home.
Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, widely known as Olamide, has said he is not in a rush to break into the international music market.

The YBNL star explained that he is happy making music in his own language and staying connected to his core fans at home.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra, he said he would never change his sound just to impress a Western audience.
According to him: “You have to identify your audience. Once you identify your audience, the rest of the world will catch up eventually. So, I have to stay true to myself and no matter where it is, what it is, I mean, in this world, I have to stay true to myself.”
Olamide added that he takes pride in his identity and has no plans to alter who he is to please anyone.
He said: “I’m comfortable in my skin. I’m a Naija guy, Yoruba boy, I have H-Factor and all that, and I’m proud about it. You just have to stay true to yourself.”
