Wunmi Aloba Speaks After Another SAN Withdraws From Mohbad DNA Case
Mohbad’s wife Wunmi says frequent lawyer changes will not alter the truth in the DNA case.
She insists science cannot be manipulated as the legal process continues.
Wunmi Aloba, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, has responded following the withdrawal of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who was hired by her father-in-law in the ongoing DNA case involving her son, Liam.

The lawyer’s resignation has attracted public reactions online, especially as he is not the first legal representative to step away from the matter.
Reacting on her Instagram story, Wunmi insisted that there is no way the DNA result can be tampered with and said changing lawyers will not change the truth.
Her words: “Another lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has withdrawn from the DNA case. To my father-in-law, you can get as many lawyers as you want from anywhere in the world; one thing is certain, however, that you can’t manipulate this DNA. I’m sorry.”
She continued by questioning the need for frequent lawyer changes and pointed out that those who are truthful do not avoid court processes.
“When people are confident in truth, they don’t run. They don’t hide. They don’t switch lawyers every month. They don’t ignore court calls.
We have cooperated from Day 1. We have never opposed a DNA test. We showed up. We waited. We followed the law.”
Wunmi claimed that the delay in carrying out the DNA test is coming from those who initially requested it.
“The only people delaying the process are the same people who requested it. No one can manipulate the court, and no one can manipulate science. Let the truth speak for Liam, for Mohbad, and for justice. November 11 is around the corner. We will be there. Again”.
Wunmi and Mohbad’s family remain in a legal dispute over the paternity test, as investigations surrounding the singer’s death continue to draw public attention.
