A notorious bandit leader known as Jankare has been reportedly shot d€ad by a rival gang during a violent clash along the Dutsenma axis of Katsina State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that the incident occurred after a disagreement broke out between Jankare and another commander over control of territories and proceeds from recent criminal activities.
Jankare, who had long terrorised communities in Dutsenma and nearby local government areas, was said to have been k!lled during the confrontation.
He was notorious for leading several d€adly att@cks, kidnappings, and cattle rustling operations across the region. He also gained attention on TikTok, where he frequently flaunted firearms and mocked security forces.
Sources revealed that the slain bandit had recently attended a meeting of top commanders aimed at resolving internal disputes and coordinating operations before tensions escalated into violence.
Security agencies are reportedly on alert to forestall possible retaliatory attacks between the rival groups following his d€ath.
