Odumeje Slams Nigerian Pastors for Silence Amid Hardship and Bad Governance

Prophet Odumeje has criticized Nigerian pastors for staying silent amid worsening hardship and poor governance.

He said true spiritual leaders must confront corruption and speak truth without fear or personal gain.

Controversial preacher, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has berated Nigerian pastors for keeping silent despite the growing hardship and poor governance across the country.

Prophet Odumeje

Speaking during a recent sermon, Odumeje expressed disappointment that many Christian leaders have abandoned their prophetic duty out of fear and personal interest.

“Christians of these days are the ones living in fear. That’s why when you tell them to call out bad governance, they keep quiet,” he said. “It shows many are only on the altar for business. As far as the Bible is concerned, men of God have always confronted leaders.”

Known for his fiery preaching and bold personality, Odumeje said the pulpit should be a platform for truth and accountability, not a tool for comfort or profit. He accused several pastors of prioritizing political relationships and material wealth over the well-being of their followers.

According to him, genuine spiritual leaders are called to challenge corruption and injustice, not remain silent for convenience. “Nigeria is going through one of its toughest times, yet many pastors are silent because they fear losing members or favors,” he lamented. “A true prophet stands for truth, even when it is inconvenient.”
