Regina Daniels’ Family Gives Ned Nwoko 48 Hours to Accept Returned Bride Price
Relatives of Regina Daniels have given Senator Ned Nwoko 48 hours to accept her bride price.
They accused him of defying Ogwashi-Uku customs and harassing members of her family.
Relatives of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels from the Ogwashi-Uku community in Delta State have reportedly given her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, 48 hours to accept the bride price he paid during their marriage.

The family, in an open letter signed by Favour Awele Obi, accused the senator of ignoring local customs and using his influence to intimidate Regina’s relatives. They stated that, according to their tradition, once a woman chooses to leave her marriage, her family must return the bride price to formally end the union.
According to them, several efforts had been made to return the payment, but Nwoko allegedly refused to accept it. They added that if he continues to reject it, the money would be placed at the Ikeleke Quarter in Ogwashi-Uku, a traditional act symbolizing the end of the marriage.
The letter also condemned the reported harassment and arrest of some of Regina’s family members, calling such actions a violation of their cultural values.
Shared online by Regina’s brother, Sweezzy, and actor Stanley Ontop, the letter urged Nwoko to respect their customs and ensure peace by allowing those detained to regain their freedom.
Earlier in the week, Regina had accused the senator of ordering the arrest of her brother and sister after she refused to reconcile with him.
