The FCT Police Command has confirmed the arrest and arraignment of Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West.
Police said he faces charges of conspiracy, assault, and theft after ignoring earlier invitations.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has explained the circumstances behind the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
Regina had earlier accused her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, of using his influence to instigate the police to detain her brother.
However, in a statement released on Friday, the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, said the arrest followed a petition received on October 28, 2025, alleging criminal conspiracy and related offences.
Adeh said that despite several invitations for questioning, Sammy West refused to appear before the police. Consequently, he was arrested in Lagos through a warrant issued by a competent court and later transferred to Abuja for investigation.
She confirmed that after investigations, Sammy West was charged to court on November 6, 2025, for criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
According to her, he has been remanded in custody until his bail conditions are met. Adeh further assured that the command remains committed to professionalism, due process, and respect for the rule of law.
