Hilda Baci Celebrates Second Guinness World Record for World’s Largest Pot of Jollof Rice
Hilda Baci has received her second Guinness World Record plaque for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
The Nigerian chef celebrated the honor, calling it a double portion of grace.
Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has celebrated receiving her second Guinness World Record plaque, officially recognizing her for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.

According to Guinness World Records, the chef achieved the feat during a cookout in Lagos last September, where she prepared 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice.
The new plaque comes more than a year after her first, which she earned in May 2023 for completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon, a record that drew global attention to Nigeria’s culinary scene.
With two official Guinness titles, Hilda now holds the distinction of being Nigeria’s first and most decorated chef to achieve multiple world records.
Sharing her excitement on social media, she wrote:
“Our plaques are finally here! Two records, two plaques, one story of faith, fire, and history. Twice, God showed up for me. Twice, we made history for Nigeria. Together with Gino, we created something bigger than ourselves, a story that reached over 5 billion people and reminded the world what’s possible when passion meets purpose. I’m a two-time world record holder, someone pinch me.”
In another post, Hilda, whose full name is Hilda Effiong Eno-Obong Bassey, expressed gratitude and faith, quoting Isaiah 61:7:
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”
