Sowore Calls for Release of Regina Daniels’ Brother
Omoyele Sowore has demanded the release of Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, from detention.
He accused Senator Ned Nwoko of using political power to silence and oppress the young man.
Human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, has called for the immediate release of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. Sowore made this demand while reacting to the ongoing marital crisis between Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Sowore alleged that Senator Nwoko was behind Sammy West’s reported detention at Keffi Prison. He described the situation as a gross abuse of power and an example of how political influence is being used to silence ordinary citizens.
According to Sowore, Nwoko allegedly conspired with the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and other judicial authorities to ensure Ojeogwu’s imprisonment. The activist condemned the act, calling it an “unjust imprisonment” and a violation of human rights.
“I have been informed that the so-called billionaire and APC senator, Ned Nwoko, working closely with the Inspector General of Police, has used his influence to imprison a young man unjustly,” Sowore wrote. He urged Nigerians to stand against what he described as oppression and political tyranny.
