Anambra Governorship Election: Soludo Wins in 19 LGAs
Governor Charles Soludo is leading the Anambra governorship election, winning 19 of 21 LGAs declared so far.
APGA has 389,789 votes, far ahead of APC, LP, and PDP in the ongoing collation.
Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has maintained a clear lead in the ongoing Anambra State governorship election, winning 19 out of the 21 local government areas declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The collation of results, which began at INEC’s state headquarters in Awka, showed Soludo’s party polling a total of 389,789 votes. The All Progressives Congress (APC) trailed with 91,592 votes, while the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) followed with 10,366 and 1,230 votes respectively.
The declared local government areas include Awka North, Awka South, Dunukofia, Njikoka, Ogbaru, Orumba North, Orumba South, Aguata, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Oyi, Ayamelum, and Anambra East.
Only Ihiala and Anambra West are yet to be announced as INEC officials took a one-hour break, with the collation expected to resume by 6 a.m.
If the current trend continues, Soludo appears poised for re-election, making him the third governor from APGA, after Peter Obi and Willie Obiano, to serve two consecutive terms in Anambra State.
