Bayelsa Police Inspector Arrested for Brutalizing His Children Over Witchcraft Allegation
A police inspector in Bayelsa, Sunday Idey, has been arrested for ass@ulting his children over witchcraft claims.

A police inspector identified as Sunday Idey has been arrested in Bayelsa State after allegedly ass@ulting his three children over claims that they were involved in witchcraft.
According to reports, Idey, who serves in the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Igbogene Police Division, attacked his children over the weekend, accusing them of belonging to a witchcraft group.
The incident, which occurred in Yenagoa, the state capital, prompted neighbors to raise an alarm and alert the special police unit, Operation Doo Akpor. Officers from the unit arrived at the scene, rescued the children, and took them to a hospital for treatment.
Confirming the development, the Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State, CP Francis Idu, said the officer had been arrested and that an investigation was ongoing.
He assured the public that the command would ensure justice is served, stressing that the police do not tolerate any form of abuse, especially against children.
