Regina Daniels Was 19 at Marriage, Delta Gov’s Aide Responds Mercy Johnson
Governor’s aide Ossai Ovie Success has dismissed claims that Regina Daniels was 17 when she married Ned Nwoko.
He clarified that she was 19 in 2019 and urged critics to stop spreading falsehoods.
Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta State Governor, has refuted claims that Nollywood actress Regina Daniels was just 17 years old when she married billionaire lawmaker Ned Nwoko.

His response came after actress Mercy Johnson Okojie stated in an Instagram post that Regina was a teenager, aged 17, at the time of her marriage.
Addressing Mercy Johnson’s statement on Facebook, Ossai insisted that Regina was 19 when she tied the knot in 2019. He wrote, “Mercy Johnson should stop spreading false information. Regina Daniels was not 17 when Ned married her. She was born on October 10, 2000, which means she was 19 at the time.”
He expressed disappointment over the recurring age controversy surrounding Regina and Ned’s marriage, urging the public to stop spreading narratives that could harm their relationship.
“No marriage is perfect; every couple faces challenges. Let’s not push stories that could destroy the love still existing between Regina and Ned,” he added.
