A tragic crowd crush at a military recruitment exercise in Accra has claimed several lives.
Authorities say thousands rushed the gates, causing chaos and leaving many injured during screening.
At least six people have lost their lives in a crowd crush during a military recruitment exercise held at a stadium in Ghana.

The incident happened early on Tuesday, November 11, at the El Wak Stadium in Accra, where thousands of young people had gathered for the 2025 recruitment screening of the Ghana Armed Forces. Many applicants reportedly spent the night outside the venue in hopes of securing a place in the screening process.
According to a report by the BBC, the situation turned deadly when a sudden wave of applicants pushed through the security barriers and forced their way into the gates.
In a statement, the Ghana Armed Forces described the situation as a tragic development and explained that the crush was caused by what it called an unexpected rush of applicants who broke through security controls and forced entry into the stadium.
Army spokesperson Capt Veronica Adzo Arhin said the stampede happened before the official start time of 06:20 GMT.
A total of twenty two people were injured, and officials confirmed that five of them remain in critical condition
