CAF Introduces Free E-Visas for Fans Ahead of AFCON Morocco 2025
Fans heading to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco will enjoy free electronic visas provided through the YALLA app.
CAF says the new process will make travel easier and improve the overall fan experience.
The Confederation of African Football has announced a major travel relief for supporters planning to attend the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. CAF, working with the Local Organizing Committee, said on Friday that fans from countries that normally require visas will now be able to obtain electronic visas at no cost.

According to a statement on CAF’s website, the free e-visa policy applies to supporters who will be in Morocco for the tournament, scheduled to run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. CAF explained that the e-visa can be processed through the YALLA app and is aimed at making travel easier as global interest in the event continues to rise.
CAF noted that access to stadiums during the competition will require two important documents. The first is a Fan ID, and the second is an e-visa for those who need one to enter Morocco. Both documents can be applied for in one place inside the YALLA app, a move the organizers say is meant to make preparations smoother for international and local fans.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas,” the statement said. CAF added that the combined application process for the Fan ID and e-visa inside the YALLA app gives supporters a quicker and safer experience as they prepare for the tournament.
To apply, fans are expected to download the YALLA app on Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website. They can then fill out the Fan ID form and, where required, complete the e-visa request. Once the approval is confirmed, supporters will be able to buy match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF said the new travel measures are part of efforts to give fans a simple and secure experience throughout the championship, which will be held in nine stadiums across six cities. The 2025 edition marks Morocco’s first time hosting the AFCON since 1988, and excitement is already building as football lovers look forward to intense competition, top talent and a festive atmosphere. A total of 24 teams will take part in the tournament.
