Nigerian rap icon Olamide, popularly known as Baddo, has declared Wizkid the greatest Afrobeats artist after legendary pioneer Fela Kuti.
He made the statement during a recent press conference in Canada while reflecting on his numerous collaborations with the Grammy-winning singer.
“I am blessed to have collaborated with Wizkid on multiple occasions. You know Wizkid is the greatest Afrobeats artist ever after Fela,” Olamide said.
He explained that his work with Wizkid goes beyond seeking relevance or leverage, stressing that their partnership is rooted in genuine musical chemistry.
His comment comes weeks after Burna Boy proclaimed himself the greatest African artist after Fela, while Davido has repeatedly referred to himself as the “King of Afrobeats.”
