Senator Ned Nwoko confirmed the authenticity of a viral medical report about Regina Daniels.
He said the document was genuine and linked her health issues to severe substance exposure.
Senator Ned Nwoko has confirmed that the widely circulated medical report alleging that his wife, Regina, abused several substances is real. He also said the hospital involved did not leak the document, despite the public backlash that followed its appearance online.
The report, which came from an Abuja hospital, spread across social media earlier in the week. Regina had threatened legal action against the hospital, while the management issued a public statement denying involvement in the leak. Her brother, Lawrence, also claimed the document was fake.
In a statement released on November 15, Nwoko’s media team said the report is authentic. According to the statement, the medical document showed that Regina tested positive for hard substances such as marijuana, cocaine, morphine and opiates at very high levels. Alcohol was also detected at what the team described as a dangerous level. The report further stated that she was taken to the hospital on October 3 in an unconscious state after a drug overdose.
Nwoko claimed that the hospital struggled to stabilize her due to constant interference from her siblings. He alleged that they did not support efforts to restore her health and even offered her items like alcohol and weed while she was reportedly in rehabilitation.
The statement added that Nwoko has consistently pushed for her full rehabilitation because he believes her recent actions were influenced by an unstable state of mind. He said he is committed to ensuring she gets proper care so she can remain healthy for herself and her two sons.
