The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has said social media personalities VeryDarkMan and Mr. Jollof will face legal action after their physical exchange inside an aircraft at the Asaba International Airport on November 17.

NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu stated that the agency views the incident as a serious breach of aviation rules. Writing on his X account, he said the behavior displayed by both men threatened the safety of passengers, crew members and the aircraft.

Achimugu explained that he first became aware of the incident while boarding a flight. He noted that he immediately requested basic details so he could alert NCAA officials to begin checks. He added that the airline involved is expected to file an official report which will guide further steps.

According to him, the rules are clear regarding conduct on board an aircraft, and the authority does not tolerate any form of unruly behavior. He said it was disappointing that both individuals often advise their followers against misconduct yet acted otherwise.

He also questioned whether the pilot removed the two men before takeoff or allowed them to continue to their destination, adding that there would be consequences if they were allowed to fly after the fight.

Achimugu said the incident risked the safety of all passengers and that the NCAA has invested time and resources in teaching travelers to avoid such actions. He stressed that no matter the cause of the fight, there was no acceptable reason for it to happen on board.

He noted that a full statement would be issued once all details are confirmed.

Both VDM and Mr. Jollof are currently at the Delta State Airport Police Command giving their statements to investigators.
