Nigerian rapper and actor, Falz the Bahd Guy, has humorously explained why he’s not a fan of long-distance relationships.
In a comical video posted online, Falz, known for his playful accent and witty delivery, shared his thoughts on the challenges of dating someone who lives far away, especially across different time zones.
Currently in Canada, he pointed out how the time difference between countries can easily disrupt communication in a relationship.
“I just checked time in Lagos now, seven hours ahead,” he said. “Okay, let’s say I’m having a girlfriend there now. We want to sleep. I want to chat. I want to chat. You want to sleep.”
Falz then acted out a lighthearted scenario of how conversations in a long-distance relationship often go, mimicking a cheesy phone call between two lovers:
“We’ll now be on the phone like this, deceiving ourselves:
‘Ah, baby, I miss you.’
‘No, I miss you more.’
‘No, I miss you more.’
‘Baby, I want to sleep.’
‘Oya, hang up.’
‘No, you hang up.’
‘No, you hang up first.’”
