2Face Apologizes for Controversial Comments on Monogamy
2Baba apologizes after backlash over fidelity comments, says ‘That’s not who I am’.
Mixed reactions trail singer’s video as he seeks forgiveness from fans, wife, and children.
Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has issued a heartfelt apology following backlash from his recent interview where he made controversial remarks about male fidelity.
During the interview, 2Face claimed that men are not biologically designed to be with just one woman, a statement that drew widespread backlash. He also claimed that a man could genuinely love a woman and still cheat on her, a stance that drew outrage from fans, especially given his high-profile relationship history.
In a recent video, he took accountability for his words and apologized to those affected by his comments. Speaking candidly, he said:
“I know I f*cked up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled because of it. I apologize to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha, and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am.”
While some believe his statement reflects a personal truth shared by many, others argue that public figures like 2Face should be more cautious with their words, especially on sensitive topics like relationships and fidelity.
