Why Lady Gaga and Elton John Reportedly Declined to Perform at Jeff Bezos’ Wedding
Lady Gaga, Elton John reportedly skipped Bezos wedding over $6M performance fee.
Despite absence, billionaire’s $50M Venice celebration dazzled with stars and luxury displays.
A recent report has revealed why music legends Lady Gaga and Elton John were allegedly not part of the star-studded entertainment lineup at Jeff Bezos’ lavish wedding in Venice, Italy.
According to sources, both artists were approached to perform at the billionaire’s three-day celebration, held from June 24 to 26, but allegedly declined due to a reported $6 million performance fee request. While they did not take the stage, the event still featured performances by Ellie Goulding and Mateo Bocelli, with a guest list packed with celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry.
The lavish nature of the celebration has captured international attention, with Veneto Regional Government President Luca Zaia estimating the total cost of the wedding to range between $46.5 million and $55.6 million. The estimated figure reportedly includes the rental of five luxury hotels, 90 private jets, 30 water taxis, and Bezos’ $500 million superyacht.

Though neither Lady Gaga nor Elton John has publicly addressed the report, the staggering cost and exclusivity of the event continue to be a major talking point.
