Remains of 19-Year-Old TikToker ‘China Baby’ Found at Water Treatment Plant in Peru
TikTok star “China Baby” found dismembered in Peru, sparking fears of possible human trafficking link.
Authorities identify Venezuelan teen Fabiola Caicedo by tattoos, investigation ongoing with body parts still missing.
The dismembered body of 19-year-old Venezuelan TikTok influencer, Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña, known online as “China Baby,” has been discovered at a water treatment plant in Lima, Peru.

Her remains were found earlier this month during a routine inspection at the facility. Workers uncovered parts of her body lodged in a river filtration grid on June 9, according to multiple local news reports.
Forensic teams confirmed her identity using her tattoos, including a notable one reading “Paula Sophia” on her back, as reported by Panamericana. Authorities have stated that some body parts, including her head, arms, and one leg, are still missing, making recovery efforts more difficult.
Originally from Venezuela, Fabiola moved to Peru as a teenager to live with her then-boyfriend, Meiner Jimenez Castillo. Castillo died by suicide in 2022, and reports from La República suggest that his family held Fabiola responsible for his death.
Investigators are treating the case as a suspected homicide, possibly tied to human trafficking. However, no suspects have been named, and police in Peru have yet to release details about a motive or potential leads.
As the investigation continues, fans across Latin America are mourning the loss of the young influencer, who built a large following on TikTok under the name “China Baby.”
