Reekado Banks Opens Up About His Doubts on Marriage

Reekado Banks says he’s no longer certain about getting married this year as previously planned.

The singer revealed his shift in mindset stems from personal growth, not career demands.

Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has revealed that he’s no longer certain about getting married anytime soon, saying his views on the subject have recently changed.

The “Oluwa Ni” hitmaker made this known during a chat on The Esther Show, where he admitted that his thoughts on marriage have shifted over the past couple of months.

“In my last interview, which was two months ago, I was pretty sure about my stance. I said I would get married later in the year, but now I’m in a very different place,” he said.

“So, I can’t say anything definite about getting married now. Back then, I was sure, but now I’m not.”

He clarified that this shift has nothing to do with his music career. Instead, he pointed to personal growth as the reason behind his change of mind.

“It has nothing to do with my music career. It’s about me and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on,” he explained.

Even though he’s unsure for now, Reekado said he still believes in marriage and sees it as a positive thing, shaped by how he was raised.

Reekado Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Solomon, rose to fame in 2014 after joining Mavin Records. He enjoyed major success under the label before going independent in 2018 to continue building his career.
