Ruth Kadiri says keeping her marriage private has brought peace and strength to her relationship.
She explains her husband isn’t hidden, just prefers a quiet life away from public pressure.
Popular Nollywood actress and film producer, Ruth Kadiri Ezerika, has shed light on her decision to keep her marital life away from the public eye.
The mother of two shared her thoughts during a recent chat on the Dear Ife series, hosted by media personality Ifedayo Agoro. While reflecting on her personal life, the Edo-born actress explained that keeping her relationship out of the spotlight has helped her remain focused and emotionally balanced.
Kadiri revealed that one of the major benefits of maintaining privacy around her marriage is that it shields her relationship from public opinion. According to her, not allowing external voices to influence her bond with her husband has contributed significantly to the strength and peace in their home.
“I think it was the best decision I ever made because it has helped me stay grounded. It has helped me define my relationship. I don’t have external factors deciding how I deal or relate with my spouse. People do not know him, so there is no pressure on his end.
She noted that her husband is able to live a free and pressure-free life since he is not a public figure and not subjected to constant online scrutiny.
“Marital pressures as celebrities is also something we don’t talk about a lot so and seeing that my career is thriving at this point, I keep telling myself thank God there’s an aspect of me that I can stand on and control.
“My husband is not a secret. People who know me know him. That’s enough. I’m not hiding my husband. We go to church together, events they post his pictures. Most events I organize, he is there. Check his social media page, he posts only word of God not even his pictures. He is private,” she said.
Kadiri made it clear that while the public might not see much of her husband online or at glamorous events, he is very much a part of her life and present in moments that truly matter.
